PC Please give us back our decorative blocks

So now that I've been playing alpha 17 for a long while ive started to do some more aesthetically pleasing builds and just noticed that A LOT of blocks have been removed from the game (as in only allowed through creative).

Let's start with something simple. Rounded blocks, like the rounded corners for flagstone/cobblestone. I tried turning the post office in Departure into a proper medieval castle and was a bit dismayed when I realized that I cant actually build in the style of the original building because the rounded corners have been removed.

I then tried making some cool entrances and noticed that the jail doors are gone. As are all the other doors we used to have. They are used in all the POIs but we cant build them.

I humbly beseech you oh Pimpy Ones! Please give them back!

It just doesn't seem right that I can build an entire 4x4 truck from scratch using only iron ingots, duct tape, scrap polymers and acid I found under a kitchen sink but I cant figure out the mechanics of how to make a rounded corner. Building is absolutely fundamental to this games success and you shouldn't have to cheat to get basic stuff like that. I know it probably slows down the crafting menu, but in that case at least give us the option to toggle on/off creative blocks . I for one dont mind the extra 10 milliseconds of lag it might cause if it means I can build something amazing

1) Have you checked the Table Saw?

[Many things are there now.]

2) Perhaps have a peek at recipes.XML

[Then you'll know exactly what's there and how to craft.]

3) There's already Creative Mode

[Type CM in the console and pick whatever you choose.]

Not sure how else to help you.

1. So i have indeed used the table saw, and that does have most shapes, but only in wood. If you are using the flagstone upgrade path there is no way to get any of the rounded shapes

2. I have checked out recipes.xml because i was looking for a way to mod them in

3. I have been using creative mode to get the items

i guess my real question here is why were they removed? things like the jail door for instance is quite useful. I know i can just mod them all back in ( as long as they stay in .xml) just curious as to why TFP are no longer supporting those things in the vanilla game. Seemed like it was a positive aspect of the game, giving you something to pursue late-game when all your goals had been met
