Player Profile deleted randomly

Hey all,

my friends player profile was completely deleted from my game save and I’m not sure why, he played with us last 2 days ago. I have friends that haven’t played since last year and their player profiles are still in the player list. Any way to get it back/possible fix?

So earlier today, I went into the “manage save”menu and viewed the list of players in my game. As of now I have 5 players that have all been saved on the list and one of them was last online 218 days ago. I wasn’t sure if I could invite more than the 4 people I already had so I pressed delete on the inactive players account. Upon loading my save and viewing the in game player menu, the inactive players account was still there and my friend who’s username was not even close to the other account in the menu, had been deleted instead. I’m just curious if there is some sort of profile recovery that could be helped with or done remotely by support because I imagine my friend will not want to come back and play since this glitch deleted his progress. Any help is appreciated.

Ah hell, sorry about that. I'm not aware of any bugs that can cause that, but we are making some QOL adjustments to that GUI. I can tinker around and see if I can reproduce it.

The only way I can think of is maybe it hasn't synced with your cloud yet, which if it hasnt (check the file size, if it hasn't, the cloud will be slightly bigger than what you have), you can try grabbing what's there. But once you delete from local and the changes take affect on the cloud... unless you have a backup it's gone I'm afraid. Both consoles put a tiny limit on total file size you can save data to, so we can't afford room to make backup-backups sadly
