Overhaul Mods

Hello Survivors,

I've been playing Vanilla for a long time, with a few small mods, and am starting to get to where I'm looking to regenerate more interest in the game. To that end, I was looking at some of the overhaul mods and came across the 'Winchester' overhaul mod. In reading the description, it sounds pretty interesting, so I'm looking for some feedback on it. Has anybody used this mod, and if so, what are your thoughts? Also, any thoughts on overhaul mods in general would be greatly appreciated, as I've never used one.

The Winchester​

The Winchester is a mini overhaul mod that is aimed to extend the vanilla game rather than totally change everything. Expect more zombies (A LOT more...), items that degrade and new game/video options that allow the user to choose how they would like to play the mod.

New things will be added over time but the aim is to keep the game as a Zombie Survival game so please don't expect lots of magical creatures in it! Most of my changes are around making the game harder and more challenging but giving the...

Haven't seen it for Winchester, but I know several overhaul mods have discord servers.

As for general thoughts, they are a great way to rejuvenate your interest in the game when you've run through the vanilla version. Many people will say X or Y overhaul is better than vanilla, but it's always a question of taste and what you personally want as a game.

For example, I tried out the Forsaken Trail overhaul back in 1.X. Crafting and all was a lot more expanded on which was pretty interesting and the way zombies in POI activates all at once makes for some crazy stuff. I had fun with it, but I ended up going back to vanilla for 2.X.
