This was spoken about in the first DEV stream. Lathan said having a tri-state is too complicated to manage.
This is an alternative to a tri-state:
Place an extra "compass" icon next to each waypoint. The Check-mark shows the active mission. The Compass icon shows which waypoints are visible on the compass.
For this to work:
Button a: Set the waypoint as the current active tracked waypoint
Button b: Toggle the waypoint toshow/hide on the compass
Button c: Center on map.
Button d: Share
Button d: Delete
I must say I would prefer not to have the buttons at all. It is never clear what waypoint is being acted on or selected. Rather make the options pop-up when a waypoint is selected.
