Oasis smoothie isn't working in the desert

Isn't that where it should? Do I have that wrong? It gives run boost in the desert now. WTF?

Sounds odd; it should be the desert protection magic. You got the badge already? You sure you didn't just stick a steroid into you?
 
I'm not sure what happened now. I know I drank the smoothie and it didn't work. But that was after I had spent a significant amount of time in the desert to get up my time requirement and finish it with drinking a smoothie. I just had a hard fight with a plague spitter because another z decided to show up for the party and was got t diseased up to 5.3% and had taken some honey.

I drank the Oasis smoothie and it just didn't work. I started taking heat damage because I was in the desert for too long.

I went over to the frost biome, it's right by the desert, and walked in was getting the timer, walked out into the forest. Went into creative and gave myself a frost smoothie and it didn't work.

Well I finished up my desert requirement the hard way and without taking any smoothies and just riding in and out of the desert. Then I got my badge and logged off. I just logged back on and went back to the snow biome and the smoothie worked this time.

If it happens again I'll know what to do. Get back into the forest, go do something else, log off and log back on. That will "probably" fix it

The counter is not reset upon drinking the smoothie. So you have to get a positive counter before using. Technically it should reset the counter but apparently it does not.
