Not able to join my friends game world. Message shows up saying only friends on list can join. I am on my friends list.

My friend sends me invite to his game. I can't join message shows up on my TV can't join only friends on list can join. I am on his list. Not sure if this is an issue.

My Friends are unable join me in my game and the same goes for me, I can't join them. We did everything we could think of hoping to solve this problem. Uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, deleted saved games and still nothing. Is this a permanent thing?

You would need to provide some kind of details for anyone to have any chance of helping you. We don't even know if each of you are on PC or console (or which console) or if you're playing on dedicated servers or hosting. Without even that little bit of basic information, there's no way to help.... and it would be better to give additional information, including a log if at least one of you is on PC.

I started a game so that my friend could join me. We both have xbox series X. Everytime he joins he gets a message: you must be on his friends list to join. We have been playing xbox since the beginning, online so he's on my friends list for a long time. I've changed the settings, even to default, created a password but still no joy. Since the update we just cannot get to play. The server is private, Europe, only friends can join. What am I doing wrong?

Having a similar issue where a friend on a different platform (Steam) was able to join the server, but then was not given the option to spawn with the rest of us (on Xbox). Seems like the dedi server has "friend" identification issues. Maybe it needs counseling? :)

Update: Are you on a dedicated server? if so: <property name="ServerVisibility" value="2"/> <!-- Visibility of this server: 2 = public, 1 = only shown to friends, 0 = not listed. As you are never friend of a dedicated server setting this to "1" will only work when the first player connects manually by IP. -->

Currently I am unable to create an online server or join my friend's (also Xbox player) world that I was just playing with them on June 29th. When attempting to swap a new world server to "online" or when selecting "Join Game" on the main menu, Xbox prompts me to upgrade to Gamepass Ultimate. I do own the game directly; I play on an Xbox Series X and access online play through Xbox Gamepass Standard.

What I know:
The Discord icon in the bottom left corner above my Gamertag on the main menu is no longer appearing. (I linked to my Discord profile through the in-game prompt yesterday)
To be able to join my Xbox friend's world two days ago who was already linked to Discord, I also had to link 7 Days to Die to my Discord Account. I encountered this same issue two days ago when I tried to join a game through my friend's Xbox profile without an invite. Accepting their invite seemed to work then, but not now.

What I've tried:
Restarted the Game (5+ times)
Power Cycled my Console
Cleared Local profile data on the console, restarted my console, and launched the game.
Uninstalled and reinstalled the game
Cleared profile data on both the console and cloud, restarted my console, and launched the game
I've unlinked 7 Days to Die through Discord settings, but unable to relink my game to my Discord account through the in-game settings

I'm at a lost now and can't see to find anyone else having the same issue in the forums

Noting that my issue was actually in fact an Xbox issue and I am now fixed. Apparently, I had to turn off recurring billing on my Gamepass subscription and hard restart my console. No why turning this off was the solution.

Both my son and I are the Xbox. Multiple friends were able to join us on my saved games before the update. After the update however, it is not possible.
