No trouble playing on a local game, but can't get in to my server!

Hi -

I have a server for a friend and I to play on and in the last week or so, I can't get on. The load screen gets to "creating player" and the F1 console command screen pops up and then, if I wait long enough, the network times out. My friend has zero issues logging into and playing on the server.

The red text on the command screen says something about NullReferenceException. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I've restarted the server numerous times. I've uninstalled and installed the game several times.

I have no problems playing a local game - my A20, DF, and UL games run great! It's only the server that I have issues with...and it's only me, not the other player.

Any ideas? Suggestions?

 
My cash is on a corrupted save.  You'll need to get your player ID and have the admin delete your player off of the server.

I only know this because it happened to a friend who was playing on my server and I had to delete his character to fix it.

 
Try with Hamachi, but before that try changing server port to 27015(which is REQUIRED port for lan, as it says in serversettings.xml)
