I'm tempted to play with the idea of a mod that disabled weapons production for guns, or advanced tools.
Why? Doing this will enforce a purpose to looting through out the game and add more purpose to the trader. In the time it takes to save 10k for 1 item you can generally get the skill points to make it yourself.
turn it off.
Add the weapon breaking mod too. Make players look after their weapons, and if they dont they need to go out looting again.
I'm considering adding weapon schematics, so you could craft a high level item, or even introduce them as weapon recipies.
