Edit: I posted this in the console section, didn't realize that there was a console forum when I posted it here. I don't see a way to delete a post.

When 7dtd was released on xbox I played that version a lot and loved it but stopped due to the MD5 checksum error randomly wiping out your base. So I was very happy to realize they released a new version that is the same as the PC version.

Has the md5 error been fixed or do you have to role play your base being wiped out by a earth quake still?

Looking forward to getting back in to the game tonight. With the new version do you all suggest using the navezgane map or a random map? I used to play on navezgane but wiht the updates curious if a random map is better, does it accurately generate cities and towns that make sense? On the old version it didn't do as good of a job as what you woudl see on the nav map.

Any other tips for someone getting back in on the new version?

Do you prefer milk with honey, tea with cookies or coffee with a bun? Your question sounds about the same.

Navezgane is a hand-made map, it has all the POIs, but almost all of them are in a single copy.

Peregen is a map generated by the game, but partially edited manually.

Random maps are just random, there can be anything there.

In each case, everyone finds something of their own. Someone likes to play on a well-known map and they choose Navezgane. Someone likes big maps, but without surprises in the form of roads to nowhere and chooses Peregen. And someone wants to see a new world every time.

Unfortunately I am 25 days in and just got killed and now I’m back to a previous sleeping bag and base with just my gear on me and map is now back to about 4 days ago (real time) ..so guess the glitch is still there and my base is gone . Unfortunately keep getting killed trying to get there to see

The MD5 bug is with the old code for the old console port and doesn't exist in the new one -- the new one is on-par with the PC version. Currently I have a save that's in the day 70 - 80 range on the Xbox S and it's still running solid

Strange, if you could, visit that area and use the Report a Bug function please.
