New map loading on top of old map

Hi all --

a couple friends and I have been playing on the latest experimental for the last few weeks. After the update the other day, we played on latest experimental again and everything was fine, but tonight I was messing with the map preview generator, generated our seed, and it looked slightly different. Now when I load our game there are new floating buildings and trees above the usual map.

Is the new version of the seed trying to load on top of the old one, or what? We just want to keep playing on the old map -- is there a way to stop the new one trying to load in as well?

 
I guess the new stable version doesn't generate those island maps with the water around the edges, and that's what we were playing on, and there's no option to revert back to a previous experimental. POOP. Oh well.

Note to other people -- don't mess with seeds in the random map generator once you've started playing on them. :p
