PC New Enemy Challenges Suggestions?

New Enemies would be interesting. Would Zombie Shark or Alligators be super cool? I always wanted the behemoth zombie to be an option in the game. When it was first released, it was such a cool idea, it made the game more challenging instead of fighting radiation zombies all the time. I can't wait for 2.0 Brewing storm, but I hope we will be getting more new zombies and bosses would be super awesome, but the Bandit Idea is pretty cool.  It would be cool to see if A. If the Bandits meet zombies, if they interact and fight each other, it would also be super cool and make it more realistic.

What does the community think? Would this be a great Idea, or perhaps anyone would like to share ideas that could make it more challenging? The Bandits and Frost Claw, and Desert Spitter Zombie are something new I can't wait to see, but what are some of everyone's thoughts? I wish we could build Boats and have Zombie sharks or Zombie Alligators, and new boss zombies would be cool,l maybe even allowing us to later on summon it in creative mode to test how strong they are and to test how much the damage capabilities it deals would be super awesome😊

I might not be the best to reply, as I avoid reading the dev diary; I kinda want to experience a new patch somewhat blindly. By now, I think I've seen an image of a frost claw. I ain't against new enemy types, but a yeti doesn't really tickle me that much. "Desert Spitter", all I know is the name now, and all that makes me think is:

"We need a new enemy in the desert, what do we call it?"

"Well it needs to be a little different, so we make it a spitter; how about .. desert spitter?"

"That's good for gold, lesgo!"

Yea, that's likely not what's going on, but... :D

Beyond that I heard zeds might become able to crawl thru half block gaps. If that's a general rule for them all, I doubt I'm ever going to make a horde base that doesn't effectively glitch zeds into tables to stand still, or similar nonsense. Or the very least make them crawl at me face first in a 1/2 block gap, behind a 1/4 block gap...

I ain't the optimist sort thou, nor in this case informed at all - so don't ask me why I made you read that ;)

I still remember when the default map had the main boss, a Sheriff and his cyber-deputies, in the ruined city biome...

Then, all this happened.

I doubt anyone else would remember this.

2.0 comes with two new zombies that will both have ranged attacks.  It also comes with two more tiers of zombies that will be stronger than radiated.  As far as boss zombies, they have only made very minimal comment on that, so it is probably not going to happen... at least not until after gold.  Unless there is a boss as part of the bandit factions.

My opinion on boss zombies is that they are nice, but you won't see them often since they are bosses, so I would rather have them add more zombies that you see all the time than ones you don't see much.

As far as animals, the game is set in Arizona, so you aren't likely to see any animals not found there.  Faatal had said he would like to make the water more dangerous by adding enemies and then he could add the raft to the game that he has worked on.  But I have a feeling that if that ever happens, it won't be until after gold.  That would be nice so you could do island hopping maps and have them actually be worth doing.

Whatever those enemies might be, they would most likely be something native to Arizona, even if the zombie mutation allows them some extra abilities.  For example, there are plenty of spiders in Arizona, but none would be dangerous to you on water unless they happen to be on your raft with you already.  But they could make a mutated spider that walks on water and is very large.  There isn't such a thing now, but it could be believed that the zombie mutation caused a regular spider to grow like that and some spiders do walk on water.

I mean they could add gators and say they were imported and they kept breeding.  Maybe have a poi called "the gator nest" and some crazy guy had pet gators and they got loose.

And water zombies would be cool like mud man and Mutated water zombies.  .

native to Arizona,
While I do like that 7 days has more natural animals I think it would be also neat to see some Mutated wildlife too.

Like all things there needs to be a progression of a "boss zombie"

First tier is just big zombie who's goal is a battering ram and bullet soaker

Then they get more types that are stronger.

Maybe a boss zombie that's really really fast and moble but lower health.

Like I said, boss zombies would be fine. I just would prefer that the time spent is spent on something I'll see often rather than not as often.  Even current zombies like mutated and demolition are too uncommon, imo.

Zombies should be dangerous due to their numbers and not because of special abilities. Cop, spider, dire wolf,  ferals and radiated Z´s are just a constant reminder that the game has way too less zombies.
I agree with the numbers and sadly 7dtd doesn't provide that much aside from horde night but I think that should change

However I do think specials do add various targets that games need.

I think there should be a setting for those who want just normal Zombies though.  No dogs or spitters

video proof please.
They were in the original road map for 7dtd, but never made it in. I doubt if anything is left of the original wiki.

I started playing after the founders stuff, but when the game was still under 20$. Man, I really wanted to see them in the game 😭

My last play through I turned off blood moons and used two wandering horde mods. Chance every 24hrs for a wandering horde. Sometimes 60+ randomly shamble into view. This is much closer to how I envision a zombie survival game.

I started in 2013. I can´t remember a sheriff or cyber deputies. You are probably remembering another game maybe?

@warmer Yeah, mods are basically the only way. There is also the increase spawn mods from 2x up to 6x, needs a remove rage mod though, no chance if they randomly start to run when you have 4x or 5x spawn.

Romero Mod is also an option, no bloodmoons, headshot only, always walking, no rage, bigger and more frequent wandering hordes and 5x or 6x spawn.

I still hope we get back the spawn slider as promised when it was removed.

Short on times now a days, so trying to give 1.xx vanilla a decent play through, but I think I will try the wandering horde mods and delete anything that spits afterwards.  I dont turn off BMs mainly because I feel, personally, that it is tied to the title.  And while it can become a hamster wheel, I do like the ever present clock in my head.
