There's too many big predators in the other biomes. I have yet to run into a dog in the forest biome. The desert biome has too many coyotes. I just need a pipe hunting rifle and spend maybe 15 minutes, I'm set for the next couple days with meat.
I wasteland or the polar biome. In the past there's been too many of them there too.
Bears, cats, and coyotes may have been tweaked with. I could be wrong and it's not as easy as I think.
I spent the morning hunting rabbits and squirrels with my hunting rifle. Then I found the desert and wasteland an hour later and didn't need any meat.
