I love 7 days to die however they should have let players know that it can only have 2 players in the game on xbox series s.  I don't know how you tested or if you tested to see if 4 players can join. They mention hardware issues but no specifics.

I play ark ascended has much more in that game than 7dtd. They made ways to work around it so it would work. Also, gta, mw3, old 7dtd, state of decay 2 some of these games much bigger.

I would like to know the exact reason , and what it does where we are unable to play with 4 players.

It states 2 -4 players for multi-player and on co-op. It does not state ONLY 2 players for xbox series s. You need to fix the wording and give refund if they ask.

I knew ahead of time  that ark was going to be an issue but they managed to fix the issues allowing the game to work on xbox series s.

Put a disclaimer on it. Don't trick people into buying something that don't work as it states 2 to 4 players. It's more like 1 to 2 players.

Series S doesn't have the compute power. Ark only cares about GPU processing power, which consoles are fine at. 7 Days requires a lot of CPU power, RAM, VRAM, and fast disk access. Things the consoles don't have, and the series S has 1/3rd of.   It is bad enough that the PS5 and Series X don't have dedicated VRAM, and only half the RAM available to the client. Even with a crapton of optimization they still have limited settings. And then you have the Series S which literally has 1/3rd the power of those.

Blame Microsoft. They forced TFP to offer it for both consoles. If most companies had their way, they would not support the Series S at all.

And by the way, this section is for players to meet up with players. If you had looked in the correct area, you would have found a thread on this topic already.
