Okay, the title pretty much explains itself and my request.
I have just made myself a base, which covers an area of 51x77, upgraded almost everything (not floors I walk on) to steel. Now, that in itself, is quite a task. But after doing it, and considering I made it in the snow biome, I started looking at the ways I could color it, so it would "blend" into the area. Even though there are 3 pages of customization available, the 2 closest colors to plain white, is "medicine cabinet" and "metal white". and lets be honest. if those 2 are white, I am santa claus. There is 1 more color which almost becomes white, and that is the "fabric blinds"... But in the end, these colors are, well, let us be honest, they are @%$#.
I know that game devs are not going to prioritize something like this, or will even consider it. Unless the majority of the community wants it.
There is also the dyes. Not saying they are coloring badly, but a few more options to pick from, would be lovely. And maybe a way to craft them. The "best way" to make them, as I see it, is to have a "base" which you then have to add a pigment or two to. Would require a new machine (a paint mixer), with a single purpose, but hey, sounds great. When making a specific color, you would need to first combine the primary colors to get the color you want (red, green and blue), unless you want a primary color. Then, you would have to use it like that, or tint it with black or white. Ending up with 1 of 3 versions of the color. light, normal and dark. And then finally, combine it with something that would resemble a bottle, so you would end up with the dye you desired, Or something close to it.
While I understand that what my brain think is easy to do, and what reality is, This is something I hope will be added into the game in the future. I also recognize, that I might have dropped this into the wrong part of the forum, but this is the only part where I found with a suggestions section. Not that I was looking that hard. So if it is in the wrong section, please move it to the correct one
While it probably isnt important, it is worth mentioning I run the game on ultra settings for PC (ultra+ seems like a waste of system resources).
