PC Mods to existing games?

Can i install a mod for an existing save game? not many new mods for A17 but i have seen some where you can see water and food on the front screen, can i add this or will it corrupt my save?

First, there are a whole lot of mods for a 17, second, it depends on what the mod does, anything that changes quest or perks / skills is going to break your save. Good news for you is that a HUD mod will be just fine.

Excellent thanks for the reply, can anyone point me in the direction of a suitable MOD for changing the HUD only, i have not done much modding.
