Modlet - Friendly name for tooltip?

so I created a new item "gunCrossbowVanHelsing" and when you hover over it I get "gunCrossbowVanHelsing" as the tooltip.

how do I make it say "Van Helsing Crossbow" ? so far only edited items and recipe xml. do I need to localize?

So localization is a TEXT file. how do I extend it for my modlet without having to edit the localization.txt file in the /data/config folder?

By using Sphereii's localization mod.

It's not supported in vanilla.

Helpful hint, open it up in Excel as a .csv file. You'll thank me later.

mr.devolver and RussianDood have batch scripts that you can include with your modlets to auto load new localization into the vanilla file. But no, it does not merge the same as xmls do. Hopefully they fix this at some point.
