Modified gear - quality of life request!

A cursory search did not yield results of this topic, so here goes:

Can we PLEASE (for the sake of my sanity) get some kind of alternate inventory icon for gear that's been modified? Even if it's something as simple as an "M" in the corner, or a change to the background colour... ANYTHING. Apparently I'm an idiot, because I have destroyed several modified items without first removing the mod(s) so they can be re-used. I know they appear in the mods bar under the item description, but that doesn't seem to be helping me at all (idiot, remember?).

You can't scrap items with modifiers, so are you just dropping them on the ground?

Although I do agree that some sort of indicator of a modified item without needing to select it would be nice.

 
not sure if you cant pay attention or rushing your brain forgetting details. sure the mods needs more earlier gameplay i usualy get 2 or 3 mods within 2 weeks like this run but i has nothing to use it on.. plastic knee holders? i need like military gear to place the mods lol atleast it feels useless early the mods i get, i like the wood cleaver and stuff but rare to find :D i quess i need to look around better.

 
I put an iron club with 2 mods on it into the forge. Because protections like being unable to scrap it are no match for my level of ineptitude!

Do you have to? Reminding me of my own ineptitude over the exact same issue. I'm red raw from so many stupidity facepalms. Its like a mod mental block that eases as soon as you have just destroyed the damn thing in the stupidest possible way.

It's like carrying nitroglycerine and getting hiccups and a coughing fit at the same time, it's NEVER going to end well!

 
Had the same thoughts when i was farming humanity (items) in Dark Souls when having high liquid humanity (stat) to suddenly die at a spot i never expect to die. Most tragic thing is that i wanted to retreive it and died even more unexpectedly short distance before my souls + humanities. SO i lost it all...

You try doing things fast, you risk some serious consequences...
