Mod set my base back to original

So I downloaded this drone mod that gives you Samuel l Jackson's voice. And for some reason my base kept a lot of the elements but it also reverted back to its original form. My question is there a way to roll back to a previous save. I really don't want to do creative mode and do everything all over again this would be great if somebody has a solution thank you.

Likely no.  The game creates backup files but those are replaced as soon as you start again playing....so the changes made by installing a mod mid-game are now in your backup files.

If you manually save the game files, you could restore from them; but I don't believe you were doing that based on coming here to the forums and asking for help.  CM is probably your only option now.

It's probably not intentional. Adding a mod that adds a major asset like that to a running game can do it, likely the chunk the drone was in got corrupted. Alwwwwways make a backup of a save before doing things like that (well, it is good to do so anyway after a session or two)

I mean I don't understand the mod was a voice change for my drone. Are people making mods specifically to mess up people's games?

As Jugginator mentioned already, likely not intentional.  Any mods I create, I always start with a fresh game as I expect it to mess up the game if I install it half way through.  The same thing can happen if I remove mods half way through a game I am playing.

Some times nothing will happen.  Other times you might see inventory or block items swapped if you switch out mods that add / remove items and or blocks in the game.  Other times you can get conflicts that you were unaware of or outdated code that gives you hard crashes.
