So mining helmets don't work anymore? Bug or feature?

How exactly is it not working for you? I found one in my game, and the light works just fine, if that's what you're referring to.

Some come with the helmet light mod, some don't. You do need the mod though even for the mining helmet.

Sorry if answered elsewhere, but I have the same problem, got the helmet but I got no light, I have a flashlight and did the modify on the helmet but couldn't see any way to use it, are you guys saying I need a schematic?

Thanks. Doesn't seem intuitive to have to put a light mod on a mining helmet but whatevs. Tried a light mod in an Iron Helmet but didn't work so not sure what is happening.

Make sure you're using the helmet light mod, and not a gun flashlight mod.

According to MM, mining helmets you find in loot contain the light mod. Mining helmets you spawn in from the creative menu do not.

That's too bad that all the mining helmets don't come with the mod. However, it is nice to be able to remove the mod to place on a more protective piece of headgear.

Mining helmets you craft don't have the mod.

So you have to craft both a helmet and then the light mod.
