Maximum brightness and can not adjust using brightness option

Ubuntu Linux 24.04, when installing and running game, it gives maximum brightness, washed out white. If you go to options it shows default brightness value 0.5. If you adjust it to lower, like 0, it has no effect. Can not lower brightness. Changing brigness option has no effect at all. I found an similar issue already reported on windows using Vulcan. On Linux it also says, when loading, loading Vulcan shaders. Maybe it is the same issue? I tried using -force-glcore steam parameter, did not help.

Known issue with GLCore on some kernels like Mint and Arch. Switch to Vulkan in the launcher as a workaround until it is fixed.
