A friend has asked me to ask if there is a hard limit on the maximum amount of player placed blocks or is it, as I think, limited primarily by your PC specs.Ā

You don't need to fill a map for that. Placing a 100x100 concrete slab (or whatever "cube material") and standing in the middle is enough. Might need a bit more than 100, but basically covering all terrain within the max spawn radius of the horde prevents them from spawning. I don't know if anyone's tested if zeds can spawn above the block placement ceiling. I don't see a technical reason they would need to be blocked; as players can happily exist there, so should zeds and any other entity. AI might get iffy.Just wondering if you can block out blood moon spawn.
Sorry, I think I spoiled about 300 years worth of that hobby (a block a second, 10k map, 100 blocks deep = 317 years)
