Max Drones Deployed, even though I have no drones, on newly generated map?

Hey all,

I've been playing this game on a server with a lot of friends, when the hosting service SOMEHOW lost all our server progress. We decided to just spawn a new map, and all went on. All our characters transferred over along with what was in their inventory at the time along with their progress.

However, after getting a drone, the game says I can't deploy it because I've hit maximum drones deployed. I did have a drone deployed on the old server right before it got wiped out by the crash, so I think this is what's causing it.

Is there anyway to reset my max drone status? Is there a line of code or something in my character files that can be reset so I can deploy drones again?

I don't have any turrets or anything set up, it was a drone built for me by a friend that vanished when the entire map was wiped.

 
Currently there is no way to remove missing drones unfortunately. The only solution is to put all of your inventory including clothes into a storage box and note your level as well as map coordinates of the storage box. Leave the game. A server admin would need to delete your player profile files. When you login you will be level one. The admin could teleport you to the storage box or just run to it to get your stuff. The admin will need to temporarily make you admin so you can use the command giveselfxp to get your levels back. There is no other way to deal with this as of now.

 
Ah ■■■■, I was afraid that would be the case. Ok, we'll take a look into that. Do you happen to know how to set someone as admin for the server, or a guide for it?

 
Also can use the console command:  Admin Add [entity ID] [permission level] and to remove: Admin Remove [entity ID]. So when you join the server, in the log file your player will be signed an ID number. If it's say 130, the server admin will type:   Admin Add 130 0 where 0 is the level that gives you full admin powers. Then when you are finished, the server admin types:  Admin Remove 130

 
I had this same problem on a friends game.  I have not used my character on any other servers and the drone has been working fine up to now.  A week or so ago, I tried to place my drone and got the "Max drones deployed" message, even though I have one drone and it was still in my inventory. 

We only play the game, we don't have any experience of using any admin controls at all, so the above suggestion will not be practical for us.

Has this been reported as a bug, yet?

 
There have been multiple issues with drones with this version. In fact, I just experienced one myself in my single player game. I put my drone on my belt, turned around to a second drone floating behind me…same level drone with identical mods. I didn’t do anything special so can’t duplicate the duping so can’t really submit a bug report until I figure out how to do it.
