Mod Request Manually Requested Airdrops

I've had this idea rolling around in my head for a long time and haven't seen anything quite like it (although I think one or two overhaul mods do something similar).

I'd love to create or find a mod that allows the player to manually request an airdrop. The basic idea:

• No automatic regular airdrops
  • Removes from game settings as well
• Player can find and/or craft flares
• Thrown lit flares will call for an airdrop
• Airdrop will occur within a certain timeframe, perhaps anytime between 12 and 24 in-game hours
• Airdrop will land within a certain radius of dropped flare
• Different colored flares will request specific supplies, i.e.
  • Green for food/farming
  • Red for weapons/ammo
  • Blue for medical supplies
  • others?
• Potential for adding a cooldown so that players cannot call multiple drops at once

Sounds neat.

If I could meddle with the suggestion, I'd say use a radio to request the drop, then 24 hours later use the flare to signal where to drop it.

I like that idea as well. Would make the radio prop that appears in the world useful.

If I recall correctly, Joke Mod uses flares to trigger events. It's probably possible to have them trigger airdrops.
