I'm trying to make bloodbags edible again i tried adding the values from alpha 16 to the xml but it just made the game crash any ideas? Thanks in advance

No, A16 do not fit, take for example code from A17.

what any elementary food.

 
Maybe create it with another name as a food item, then add it to the recipes where blood bags are used, then nerf the vanilla blood bags.
