PC Lost entire game

I play splitscreen on the Xbox One. Have been playing the same file for a year now. I've encountered the MD5 multiple times and had started using the work around which, up until now, has been successful. I was just in game about 20 minutes ago and my girlfriend and I were riding our mini bikes (in two different areas on the Nav map) when the terrain wouldn't load and our bikes got stuck. The two save icons in the upper right hand corner continued to stay there and the terrain wouldn't load. I ended up getting stuck and couldn't move after getting off my mini bike and walking to a different area of the map that wasn't loading. We exited the game after about 10 minutes of waiting for it to load. I went to delete my saved game to try and get my cloud storage and my saved data wasn't there anymore. Tried to get back into the game and it wouldn't even load to the start screen. As of this moment the game is unplayable now. What's the deal with my missing saves? Anyone encounter something similiar? Should I uninstall then reinstall the game? Any information would be appreciated.

Hi Eternal Biz,

Can you tell me if your XB1 has a pending update or recently updated? Often when players can't get into the game on XB1 is can be due to the game desyncing on the console. I would recommend resyncing the console while preserving apps and data if there was a recent update.

Before you do this however, is it possible to check your cloud storage on a PC or Mobile to see if there is evidence of the save file there? Unfortunately as the XB1 updates the save changes to their cloud rather quickly it might not be there.

Another thing you could try is clearing the cache of the console by shutting down and unplugging for 5 mins before rebooting to see if that can encourage a game sync.

If the above does not work, installing and reinstalling may be the best option to allow you to open the application.

A similar issue to this occurred back in march with two players within the same week or so. However one of those players were able to get back into the game. The player who could not never returned to the forums.

I pass all your info onto the team and if they have any extra suggestions I shall post them here.
