Just A Heads Up: There IS a Limit to How Many Assets You Can Use

So Ravenhearst has been having this triggering texture issue since we released, and I could NOT find out what was causing it. In the process of moving the mod to 17.2 we indeed did find out.

Here is a shot of our mod with Texture Streaming Enabled

I disbaled texture streaming and this was the result

That 2848 block number was when those textures went from clear to blurry with texture streaming enabled. The folder size for the Assets was 1.63 gigs.

The reason Im posting is I suspect its not how many assets you add but the SIZE of the textures on your assets. Most of my assets are between 1024 and 2048, with the majority leaning to 1024 unless its something important.

RH is made up of many different modlets, and some of those modlets use 4096 as a texture size. Please keep in mind that if you want your modlet to be used by as many people as possible it will also probably be used alongside other mods as well. And it would seem that once you hit a certain point theres a limit before the game lowers vanilla quality.

You can turn off vanilla texture streaming now BUT keep in mind this is not an option for everyone. For me, with 32gb of ram running with texture streaming on took up 21 percent of my Memory, but disabling it shot me up to 72 percent in a flash in RH and at 32gb thats not always a solution.

Now Im sure no one will add as many models as my mod does so this may never be an issue but going forward and after Gold hits i suspect many many people will try their hand at adding assets, and after a year or so the list of available assets and modlets will grow exponentially. Just thought I would mention my findings for anyone prepping any future releases.
