PC Just 2, maybe odd questions about storage.

Playing again after a 2 year break, so there are a lot of changes. And it seems as though a lot of the Google search results are info on older versions.

1) Did FP get rid of the storage boxes you can paint on in favor of the writable ones only? Or am I just blind and not seeing the ones you can paint? I did try opening the shapes menu with the current storage box, but it only rotates, so I'm guessing there is no shape menu for it. And I did see the cabinets you can paint, but they don't hold much.

2) Somewhat storage related ... probably not. Did FP get rid of a bunch of painting options for marking storage? Like the Ammo, Food, Parts, and beer cooler?  Just seems like an odd thing to get rid of in favor of writable boxes that don't look as good, so hoping I'm just overlooking something.

Yes and yes.  There's only one storage crate now and it's the writable one.  No dyes/paints can be used on it.  They haven't suggested that will change from what I've seen.  And many of the paints that aren't being used for anything by TFP seem to have been removed.  Hopefully that is so that they'll add new ones that have more versatility.

Well that sucks lol. Part of the problem is just my eyesight, anything written on a white background is nearly invisible to me. But, seems like a small price to pay for the other improvements I've seen so far. Oddly, I'm going to miss the beer cooler paint job, lol, I liked that one.

I liked the beer cooler 1 as well, but that was basically a free light source lol.

Short of good ideas, I'll just throw this out there; you might be able to slap a letter-block in front of a box and paint that, A for ammo, F for food etc, whatever you want to come up with ofc. At least the font size is the biggest it can be ... :)

Oh, that's a good idea. Once I'm out of my starter base, I'll probably do that.
