PC Is there a way to lower the do count?

My Husband and i have been playing together and every time we encounter a dog it is always in a group of 5+. This is on very low and day 11. we don't mind them its just they keep on over whelming us we play on a ps4 so if they is a mod or any way we can lower there numbers we would like to know.

A group of 5? That doesn't sound like it is from any of the POIs unless it were perhaps a Tier 5 POI. The other possibility is it is an animal-focused wandering horde. IIRC, there is one that is a bear and something like 5 dogs. I don't immediately know the conditions necessary for that to occur. Modifying the XML would normally be possible on PC, but I don't know what options you have on PS4.

Modding isn´t possible on the PS4. Keep wood spikes on your hotbar on dog horde day.

It´s A16.4 with some extras they have on PS4. That was back when you had a dog horde every 5 days at 14:00 i think and it used to be 5-8 dogs each time and bears weren´t part of that.

I really wish they would beef up the dogs a bit. They should be at least super fast. No reason I should be able to run away from them.

Wait, is the "dog horde" not a thing anymore on PC? I've been running around paranoid of one for several in game days on my new playthrough. I do know there was one with a bear or two and several dogs as well, those used to terrify me with a newish character.

There's a zombie bear and dog wandering horde that still exists, but it's random.  Back in A16.4, there was a guaranteed dog horde every 5 days (and those suckers made basically no noise back then) so if you weren't paying attention, you were pretty screwed if you were still relatively early days.

Thanks, I always get one version confused with another, Not sure how so many people remember exactly what version of the game something happened in. All I remember about the wandering dog horde is that they only seemed to show up when I was deep in a hole mining. And I wouldn't know they where there until dogs started raining on my head lol.

Packs of zombie dogs spawn every few days, same as wandering hordes. You can also get a random flock of vultures. No way to edit this yet as far as I know. One pack of zombie dogs seemed to appear the very moment I got my mini-bike stuck in some kind of ditch; all I heard was the growls and suddenly they were on me. Keep an ear out, as you'll hear them panting from a farther distance than you think. There's currently some sort of boss-dog which seems to lead them which is a lot tougher than the others. Didn't know what it was first time I saw it.

I have also seen packs of dogs running around wild now and then. Saw one in my game just yesterday. Not sure why but they were off in the distance attacking what looked like a tool truck or mo power. It was so far off that with my settings I could just make out 2 dogs attacking but was pretty sure it was a horde.

Also was scrolling down reading comments and when it stops this was my screen. I had to scroll up to see what the name really was. When you just catch a glimpse of it out of corner of your eye it sort of looks like something else...
