PC Is it Possible to update or upgrade older versions

Is it possible to upgrade or update our 18.4 games or can we just never play them again?

You cannot upgrade an existing game but you can always install an older version of 7 Days to die.

The procedure is the same as for installing an experimental version but instead of selecting the latest experimental you select for example Alpha 18.4

The amount of work needed to be done to convert an A18 save over you'd be in day 1215 in A19

Start over, it's fresh new and fun.

I did attempt writing a script that would convert worlds, but it was not possible.
