**ANSWERED**

Hi all

Not up on all the spec jargon nowadays. I am planning on buying 7DTD on PC coming away from the console version. My specs are below and would like to know if I will be able to play to a satisfactory level and also what kind of problems I may encounter.

Spec:

HP Notebook

Processor: AMD A8-7410 APU with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics 2.20 GHz

INstalled RAM: 12.0 GB (11.0 GB usable)

64-bit operating system, X64- based processor

If anymore information is required please ask

Regards

So I answered my own question by buying 7DTD and trying it, it generates a random world but is really laggy playing so thinking the graphics just aint cut out to cope.

Anyway, I have brought my PC in to the living room connected to my TV thinking this might be better, it's old but still ok (I thought)

So I installed the game but it crashes on generation of a random, Navezgane will load but is worse than the laptop both of these were on low settings btw. Not knowing that much about pc's im wondering if it's just a lack of RAM, below are the specs. If anyone can say what I should upgrade to be able to play 7DTD. It's killing me not being able too lol.

Specs:

AMD Radeon HD6570

4 GB DDR2 RAM

Intel® Core2 quad CPU Q6700 @ 2.66GHz -(four of these I think)

Not sure what mother board I have if that's required.

All the help I can get is very much appreciated

Cheers

Hi,

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm having trouble getting playable framerate with this configuration:

- i5 4690k OC (which is a 4-core CPU running at 4 GHz)

- RX 470 4GB (kinda a mid-range video card)

- 16 GB RAM

The specs that you have linked are VERY old. Core 2 Quad was released 11 years ago. The video card is also a very old model, and even when it was released, it was not meant for gaming. The RAM is, as you've pointed out, not nearly enough.

There's nothing "to be upgraded" on that machine. It's simply too old to play this game. I'm currently trying to find out if there exists a configuration which would allow me to play this game normally. My friend seem to have no trouble with a similar configuration as mine, but a lot better video card (a GTX 1070).

(then again, the game is horribly unoptimized at the moment. I'm fairly sure that the situation will improve over time, but it cannot improve that much as to allow gaming on that desktop that you've mentioned)

Sad news, was kind of knowing this in the back of my mind. So on the site it lists the min and recommended specs for the game, rather me getting into a lot of debt, if I got a machine around or just above the recommended spec would this be able to run 7dtd at high settings.

May have to buy the bits and put it together. Thinking this would be cheaper.

To be honest, my PC is way over the recommended specs and the newest release of the game is literally unplayable if I try to host. My friend with an i7-6xxx (not the latest but not old, expensive cpu), 16 gbs of RAM and a GTX 1070 GPU has not trouble though, so I'd recommend that config for reference. It's not a cheap one, that's for sure.
