PC Infection and disease, how does it work?

How exactly does the new infection work? There is no journal entry for it and it is very confusing. There are some timers running but nothing apparent happens when they run out.

I ended up consuming my only two antibiotics because after taking one the infection still got worse. I mean unplayable worse - half of the day 7 when i should have bee preparing for the BM horde i had no stamina. It got so bad I could not do a regular attack. I think I had 15 stamina at my disposal at one point.

Also how do the other diseases work? No info on that either..

 
Good question. Although I have been hit (and killed) many many times in A17, I have never once been infected. Bleeding, yup, tons. I have also had the "you are coming down with food poisoning" buff but that's from eating. Never once been infected. Never once needed antibiotics.

Infection is very bad. The first stage halves your stamina and drives up the cost of melee attacking. I was unable to power attack while infected.

Good news is, if you quit and reload on the first stage it should go away. I filed a bug report on this.

 
My husband had many infections, but they all went away on thier own except one.

It got up to the point where he was actively dying. He kept chowing down on meds and eating and drinking then it finally counted down and went away after a half a day.

Not sure how it works exactly. He doesn't have any healing perks or anything.

 
Looks like the infection raise fast in stages, and the higher stages are not healable.

But i was infected once, and after 3 Antibiotica didnt worked i "God" moded it away.

Guess its buggy.

But filed no report, have not enough info

 
I must say it's quite stupid that infection kills your stamina right away. So inside a big building, you have no way of fighting yourself out of it.

Shouldn't there like a period where you know something's funny but you're not so tired you can't do anything?? So you can find a safe spot to start curing yourself...
