You don't cook yucca smoothies, you make them in your inventory or in the workbench. Snow, yucca and blueberries (after you unlock the recipe) is all that's needed and it's the best drink in the game.

I guess you mean like Red Tea, which give you 15% efficiant digestion, but only 24 water. Purified Water is better with 60 water and also 15% efficient digestion. A Yucca Juice Smoothie give you 78 water, so this is my drink to carry around as soon as I can make them. Even if you are below 50%, one Yucca Juice Smoothie bring you back to 100%.

I guess I don't care much about the efficiant digestion when you basically need to drink 3 Red Teas to get the same amount of water as one Yucca Juice Smoothie.

You could argue that Purified Water is better is you care about digestion, but take more items to make, including boiled water, instead of just snow like the other one.

TL;dr

Yucca smoothies give lot of hydration, a bit of food, health and stamina without spending a drop of water or a campfire.
I like them a lot.
