Bam bam bam. She's got to be dead by now. Bam Bam Bam Bam Bam. Dude she's dead! Bam Bam Bam Bam. Hell I damn near emptied the clip.

So far random encounters from the environment walking into me while I'm doing missions have not included screamers. I managed to exit before this one had a chance

 
Screamers aren't that random, if at all. You spiked the heat level in the area by making allot of noise (unsuppressed gunfire, breaking metal objects and such) while you were clearing the POI. Not unusual for them to show up when that happens (wife and I get several when clearing tier 4s and 5s without suppressed weapons).

 
I don't think there are any random screamers in vanilla; you just caused enough heat to summon one. Augering safes, plenty of gunshots and explosions, you can easily get one in a decent POI.

 
They need to make a giant mission POI filled with screamers and have them all scream at the same time every minute until you complete the mission.
