I can't use my mic on Discord while I playing 7D2D

Hi! I've had this problem since the V1 release; before that, I played for 100 hours without any issues. I've tried many "solutions", but nothing has worked. It seems like 7D2D tries to take control over my mic, even when I turn off the mic in game, and Discord stops recognizing the mic. I don't have this problem in any other game or app. I've found that some people have had the same issue; some of them have already solved it, but I've tried those solutions and nothing changes. It's so frustrating. Please, if anyone knows how to fix it or what else I can try, let me know.

Here are some steps I've already taken:

  • Have you restarted your PC? Yes, I've done it several times.
  • Have you set your mic as the default on Windows? Yes, both ways.
  • Have you reinstalled Discord? Yes, once since the issue starts.
  • Have you reinstalled 7D2D? Not yet.
  • Have you turned off the in-game voice chat? Yes, but it doesn't seem to change anything, though the mic does.
  • Have you tried another app besides Discord? Yes, I've tried calling my friends through Steam, and the issue still persists.
  • What kind of headphones you use? I use a wireless headset (corsair virtuoso). I've also tried using it through USB, but that doesn't work either.
  • Have you tried using the in-game voice chat instead of any other app? No, I don't want to. I just disabled it in-game, but 7D2D still uses the mic (I saw it in Windows options; the game uses the mic as a desktop app, and I can't disable it from Windows).
  • I've also tried connecting another mic and setting it as the default for 7D2D while keeping the main mic for Discord. That doesn't work either.

I've never done voice through discord, but I use steam chat and never have any problems.  Maybe show your audio/voice settings from the game.  Might not help, but seeing how you have it set up is still useful.

Here is how I have set the audio options:

Mumble Positional Audio Support: NO / OFF

Enable voice chat: NO / OFF

Output/Input devices: It doesn't matter if I change the option, the game always switches it back to the main mic.

Although this probably won't help since you tried another microphone already, try disconnecting the microphone and then uninstall the drivers.  Then reconnect the microphone so drivers get reinstalled.  That should reset things for the microphone.  If the microphone has factory drivers instead of generic Windows drivers available, install those instead.
