I can't enable Crossplay.

Last weekend I received this error message on the PS5 "Crossplay is not available on this platform." This happened multiple times after I had tried joining another PS5s for 7DTD game play. I checked, the crossplay is greyed out and can't be enabled. Before the last update I had no issues joining others on their PS5's for 7DTD game play.  I heard that the reason I received this error could possible be that the EAC is turned off. But my understanding is on consoles the EAC can't be turned off. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game, deleting all saved data, and clearing the console cache and doing a hard reset all before reinstalling the game. Crossplay is still greyed out and I still get the same error message. Hopefully this gets fixed with the next update.

Here's a couple photos of what I'm still seeing. Nothing shows up in either of the News sections in the first photo and the second reads it self.

Are you getting the error if you start your own game or only if you're joining another? It looks like the game you are trying to join has disabled crossplay. That isn't something on your own game, but on theirs. Unless they enable it, you can't join. Though if you're sure that you are joining another PS5 console and that's what you have, then that doesn't even require crossplay AFAIK.

After crossplay was rolled out I haven't been able to enable it because it's greyed out for some reason. I can't even join other PS5 players who are on my friends list because of it not being turned on. To answer your question, I get the error only when trying to join others. Those I've tried to join had crossplay turned on. I can still play my own game without being able to turn on crossplay. But no one can join me. I agree, crossplay being on or off shouldn't matter if I'm joining another PS5 because that isn't considered crossplay. Also, for some reason none of the news feeds are active.
Thank you for replying.
