PC I can run over chickens on my bicycle but I can't run over crawlers

I was trying to avoid the critter but it zagged as I zigged. SQUAWK! Dead chicken. I thought that was taken out of the game, A15 I think.

Then I ran into a crawler a little bit up the road and tried but it didn't work. That's a shame. So then I wondered if I could perhaps run into animals on my bike but not Z's. 

Sure enough, I came across a bear a little bit up the road.

I'm still not sure if I can run into other animals.

They added animals back in to collision with vehicles…. I think I read it in the release notes.
