I can join my Dedicated server but my my friends cant

I made my own dedicated server using the game files, and when i click connect to ip it works but when my friend does the exact same thing it shows up "Cannot retrieve server information".

We have tried hosting our own game (p2p) and joining then but my game doesn't show up that way (hosting a dedicated sever shows up on the list)

my friend uses steam and i use xbox-pc (it is crossplay because i logged in on his account on my PC and tried joining that way and then it worked; but it doesn't work for him)

my guess is it has something to do with his router but im not sure.

You likely need to do port forwarding. 26900 TCP and 26900 - 26902 UDP
