Hunting outfit

Similar to the farmer outfit this could be utilized for hunting animals. Could be very useful in early/mid game.

Some possible examples for buffs:

Head: +% increase in tracking distance
Body: -% in smell distance
Gloves: +%increased harvest yield
Boots: +%increase stamina or sneek

Obviously the outfit couldn't eliminate smell completely as that would make the meat wrap useless but it could definitely help.

Already have a skill for harvest yields and tracking, if you want more/higher stamina, wear Ranger boots. There's already a skill for sneaking too.

It's useless to have an outfit specifically for hunting, when skills, mods and other pieces of armor already accommodate what you want..
So, I'm safe to assume you think the Mining, Lumberjack, farming, and Scavenger outfits are worthless? Because all of those fit the same criteria that you're describing.

In any case it doesn't matter. It's about early/mid game. When you don't have all the skills or mods yet. An outfit can help with offsetting getting materials for survival until you have the skill points available.

Not at all, i'm saying that the skills, mods and armor pieces we already have are adequate enough to use for your hunting needs.

I believe that the OP is saying that we would like to have specific armor for hunting instead of having to invest valuable skill points into something that is niche, and the current mods and armor pieces are not quite enough. I know that I use Mining, Lumberjack, and Farming outfits specifically so that I do not have to invest skill points into those perks.

Yeah, but even if the hunting outfit were added, you'd still need to get 100 magazines to make the T6 hunting armor, but by then you'd more than likely have the skill points you need to fully level the hunting skill. It wouldn't be worth it.

I do not usually make T6 Mining, Lumberjack, and Farming outfits, so I doubt that I would make T6 Hunting armor. Even making T1-5 niche armor is enough to get some bonus without having to invest skill points. I would still greatly prefer making some armor than invest skill points into niche perks.

T6 armor is a must have, you only suffer 3-4 HP damage per zombie hit with full bar durability, it makes tier 6 missions much easier to solo/manage. Plus you get more % boost from the armor, whether it's harvesting, sneaking and etc.

Yes, my standard armor is T6 for that reason. The niche armors, on the other hand, do not have to be T6 for me. Maybe once my core equipment is all T6, then I will upgrade my niche armor to T6, but it is fine at T5 or so until I have the Legendary Parts to spare. I do not need T6 niche armor for the missions. I don the niche armor when doing applicable niche tasks, so that is why I support this idea for Hunting armor. I would wear it specifically when seeking bones, leather, meat, etc., just like I put on Farmer armor to farm or Mining armor to mine.

See, this is what the Ranger outfit SHOULD be.

What does the tracking skill do? I can spot deer pretty well, as can boar. In the mid-game, I can spot bears and cougars just fine. Who should I track and why?

Scent range is a relative concept. When you have 5-6 stacks of meat, the range will still be 100 even if you reduce the scent range by 80%. And with a small amount, meat is easily packed in paper.

Hunting in this game is kind of weird for me. I only start hunting intentionally in the mid-game, and I usually do it in a winter biome. Until then, I kill everything randomly and situationally. For example, I'm driving to a trader, see a hare on the road, stop, shoot it, and butcher it. You're digging through the trash, a snake crawls out, kill it, and butcher it. Personally, I wouldn't find any benefit in such armor.

Then you wouldn't wear it.

Some players enjoying the hunting.
