PC How to set up a player owned vending machine on a MP server?

Hey all, I'm trying to set up a couple of vending machines on my claim and I have a question. Do they need to be powered? Also if anyone knows of a tutorial on how to set them up they can point me to, that would be awesome. I'm only seeing info on the rentable vending machines at traders.

They do not need to be powered.  Just place it down and drop your items to sell into it and set their prices.  Shift click is the easiest way to put things into it.

Find a suitable location on your claim where you want to set up the vending machine.
Place the vending machine block down by interacting with it in your inventory.
Drop the items you want to sell into the vending machine.
Set their prices by adjusting the settings within the vending machine interface.
Shift-click is the easiest way to put items into the vending machine.
You can set different prices for each item you’re selling.
Over time, players who visit your vending machine can purchase items using Duke’s Casino Tokens.
The vending machine will accumulate profits, and you can collect them periodically.
