How to modify bedrock level

Hello survivors! This is my first post to this awesome forum so be kind :). I have couple of questions where I haven't find answers.

1. Is there possibility to adjust bedrock height / amount of blocks on top of bedrock? I don't want anyone to be able to dig so deep that zombies can't sense them. If there is solution, can it be done with rwgmixer or does it need some mod?

2. What is the easiest way to adjust height differences in rwg map? For example can I make competely flat map simply editing rwgmixer?

As not to leave your question unanswered, there is a section in the xml that controls bedrock height, water level, and the maximum height of the world. I just can't remember where it is.

Sorry for the non-answer, hate to see a thread with no replies.

Thanks for your answer. It's good to now that it's possible. I look forward for your detailed answer. :) I'm curious about the water level also.

 
Yeah biomes.xml has a fillupto value for the water level, but I think it is superceded by the global value. Been a while since I messed with that since I like how nitrogen handles water.

Will dig into the bedrock thing. 😝

 
To expound on @convergent a bit, I'll warn you that the consequences of doing this can be cutting off some POIs.  Many POIs have a basement, and they need at least x number of blocks to ensure they don't overlap with bedrock (or sky).  Bunkers and skyscrapers are the extreme examples of this.  That's why cities only spawn within a certain height range.  I think its 50 to 75, or some such.

You can use NitroGen to spawn a completely flat world at a specified level very easily.  If you use a custom height map, its a greyscale image that defines height. 0,0,0 will be 0 height (never use that, its below bedrock) and 255,255,255 is for 255. In other words, rbg value = height.  So you can make a plain grey 4096x4096 image, with 25,25,25 as the value of the grey, and you'll get a plain flat map at 25 height.

But that will mess up basements/bunkers POIs if they go further than that below surface level.

 
I haven't did it in such a long time that am not 100% on how but I know stample is correct. I once asked how to make a perfectly flat map and was told to color one of the maps ( would have to look up which as I was using Nitrogen at time) all one color. The color I used would be the height from bedrock. So if I wanted bedrock to be 63 blocks down then color I would use would have been 63,63,63. I may be confusing you more but I am sure there is someone out there who can give you a more detailed answer.

Thanks a lot guys! That was very good info. I'll test that as soon as I have time to test Nitrogen for the first time. Already checked couple of youtube guidance videos and it seemed pretty simple.

How about water / lake amounts if I generate world from a custom height map? Any way to choose it?

 
When I used Nitrogen and made everything flat the only thing I recall about water was I couldn't use it for the radiation border. I think it still added lakes and such to interior of map but don't quote me on that lol

Im very interested in this topic, and I like bedrock to go deeper down, like 100 blocks below water level.
I tried to understand what you guys said above, and it just fly over my head, so I never understood where to change things.
Water level is 45 I think, so then i would be great to have bedrock at -57m as it was before.

Im well know with biomes.xml, and have added new resources to mine and added new subiomes and veins, but I have no idea where to change the dept of bedrock, did not find anything in blocks either.
Where can I adjust height/dept  of bedrock for noobs like me, and what settings do I need to set to get bedrock to -57m?
