How to legally get the old versions of 7 days to die

Hello, you are asking how to legally get the old versions of 7 days to die, starting with alpha 1 and ending with 8.7, without downloading pirated versions from the Internet, thank you so much for earlieršŸ˜˜

 
If you own the game on steam you can get versions from 8.8 up to the latest version in steam.

There is also a post in this forum to grab a few of the versions earlier than that. (5, 6 and 7 although I haven't been able to get 6 myself)

I don't think it is possible to get versions 1 to 4 as they were out before they went on steam?

 
I have not run any earlier versions for a very long time. I do recall though that sometimes I would get an error saying it was missing a file.

I just copied that file from one of the other games (maybe the next game in line that worked) and that cured it.

Not saying this will work for you now but is just my experience.

Hope you get it worked out. I do remember it was fun to go back now and then to play the earlier versions while waiting for updates.

 
You also cannot launch it from Steam. Have to use the executable directly, and cannot use the EAC launcher on anything before Alpha 19.
