PC How to hook up with a friend?

My wife and I decided to re-roll a new map on our LAN and restart. The trouble is, we wind up starting 20,000,000 miles apart from each other. Is there a way to have us spawn together in the same location? Maybe die at the same time? Or another thing, is it possible to group together? I haven't had any success trying to /invite her. Is grouping a thing in this game? Will it help us to spawn together?

When you create the game you can list the game (use a password).  Then she can join your game.  I dont know all the details, but what you seek is available.

Once you both spawn in, hit “I” button and you should see both your names. Under her name, there should be 2 envelopes…one is for inviting her to be a friend, the other is inviting her to your party. Click on both and she should receive notifications. She should hit “I” and click on those envelopes and she will show up on the upper lefthand corner of your screen. To get together after spawning, hit F1 to bring up the console and type dm then hit Enter. Now type:  tele ‘her name’  ‘your name’ and hit enter. Obviously don’t use quotations.

Jokes aside, you can limit the spawnpoints to one location in spawnpoints.xml in the world's folder.





Just delete all of them but one and everyone will spawn at that location.
