I need to recreate my character on a server because it got messed up due to an old mod I had installed. We turned persistent characters off and it still signed in as my same old character. I tried recreating a new profile and still won't work. It keeps loading me in as level 5 under my steam name. Is there a way around this?

Run the 7dlauncher.exe in the game folder, there's a Clean Game Data option in the Tools tab, go there and only check "Player profiles", should look like this:
