How possible would it be to put a speedometer, while driving, in the belt bar?

I've seen mods like, A17 Training Manual, that "remove" the belt while riding a vehicle, so i know that can be done.

Would it not be pretty cool to vector in a digital / analog MPH meter to take it's place while riding? Put the damage / fuel meter in the middle (along with a few various other status bars) to enhance the experience?

In Debug mode it is possible to see speed, so maybe possible to get that feed over to the UI.
