How do I clean everything up for v2

First of all, do we still need to do that? In my case, I want to because I really don't have any attachments to prior releases. Although I miss stuff from way back.

That sort of implies if you've reached the end of the road in your character development, version 2 will add more road.

I forgot the steps you need to have a completely new release short of uninstalling it.

Looks like you are asking about how to clean data before starting a new game client version.

WARNING: The Next Steps involve the Registry. You can really mess your system up if you make a mistake or have a problem. Neither I, nor The Fun Pimps, nor any other person on the planet but yourself can take responsibility for following the remaining steps. The following steps are listed for completeness in potential troubleshooting techniques. 15. Delete anything in that field,
  16. Click OK a few times,
  17. Exlude the client from your security software.,
  18. Clear the game data.
Clearing Out Game Data Before Installing a Different Alpha Version

  1. Start the game from your library
  2. Select "show game launcher"
  3. Click in the "tools" tab
  4. Click on "clean game files" and check all circles
  5. Click "Clean"
  6. Right-click on the game listing in Steam.
  7. Expand "Manage", and choose "Browse local files".
  8. If it exists, delete the folder called "Mods" (Make a backup if you want to save them for replaying on the older version later).

And a reminder that the Unstable Experimental is for testing new features and reporting bugs. It is not for extended gameplay. Expect restarts. Expect extra bugs if you didn't reset like you should have. And don't expect to play the game Stable once it reaches Stable unless you start a new save on the Stable version with a newly created map.
