How do I change the character's appearance?

[SIZE=10pt]I just joined this "7 days to die" game not too long ago. I want to change the character's costume too. But I've tried many ways and still can't figure out how to change the character's appearance. Help me, please.[/SIZE]

To answer your question: In the starting menue klick on options and then "player profile". There you can select one of the premade characters or create a new one.
