Do I need to modify the xml or is it something that needs fixed in unity?

What mods do you use? Give here a complete list of all mods or just a zip-file with all these mods.

This is a custom gun you made? Or just the silencer?
If the gun, the easiest way would be to adjust the Barrel child in Unity, looks like it needs to be rotated or something.
If just the silencer, basically the same thing.
Also, make sure your gun is added to the item_modifiers.xml entries for any attachments you want to use with it.
