Hidden ip query for servers!!

Dear all, this is due to an issue in the dedicated server community regarding massive DDoS attacks. The question is, is it possible that the developers modified the search menu so that the IP information is not visible, simply showing the server name. This being publicly visible, they could be carrying out such an attack. I don't know if Steam is involved. Thank you.

I don't think your solution would be able to help. The attacker could simply make a join attempt to such a server (as he would still be listed by name) and would get the IP address by listening on the network with a packet sniffer.

Yeah that won't do anything to prevent that. There's no hiding your IP address or steam ID when you play online, it's just part of the process. They can take your server name and also get the IP address. Your best bet is security/ddos mitigation.
