Help with compass tracking

I tend to make waypoints for everything when I see it and it seems to be causing issues. It seems waypoints you make are always on the compass even when they are not tracked (they are just really faint when not being tracked). I was wondering if anyone has found a way to make it so waypoints that are not being tracked will not show on compass at all. Here is an enlarged screenshot of my current compass to show what I mean



You can not even see the waypoint being tracked or the quick waypoint even though both are in the direction I was facing because of all the other waypoints being shown even though they are not being tracked. I did a quick search to see if this was done already but could not find anything.

open map select waypoint name on the left then select track, i think it toggles it on and off.
