HELP - 3000h Perm ban from 7DTD by Game owner? Why?

No, for obvious reasons we won't further discuss cheat tools or countermeasures to any greater extent here.

 
Cheat Tool? Could you expand on this?
Why on earth would you even need to use one? I mean as a single player you got the CM, and even as a Server Admin you got that and a bit more...

This seems odd. Alloc, you say the op stated he cheated but I don’t see anywhere that he indicated that. I don’t like cheats but if us using .dll mods on the server or in single player, ie bigger backpacks and such, whose to say all of us won’t end up banned. I’m just seaking clarity on this because I value my steam collection and account. Seems quite a risk going any further with this game if this is going to continue. Agai, I’m sure we don’t have all the details but this is unsettling.

 
To clear up a few things here ...No, 7DtD does *not* use VAC

No, as it does not use VAC there is *no* VAC bans for 7DtD

Yes, there are game bans

No, we never used that to manually ban anyone

Yes, EAC issues game bans

This ban is valid for using a cheat tool as even confirmed by the OP.

I guess I'm confused too. Lonestar didn't say he was using a cheat tool, and the ban is a VAC ban not an EAC ban...

Or are you saying that his ban is actually an EAC ban?

If I say cheat tool I mean cheat tool. Mods are and never were in any way affected prohibited and worst thing EAC does to them is not letting you start with them.

Also, game bans (just as VAC bans) only affect the game they are for and in this case even only affect playing on EAC enabled servers.

So a) there's nothing to fear unless you use cheat tools (and you'll know when you do ;) ) and b) if you still do so it won't affect any other game or even 7dtd on non EAC servers / SP.

People all confuse VAC and game bans which is obviously not the same (one coming from VAC, the other coming from the dev or a third party that's used for anti cheat measures like EAC in our case).

Of course he didn't state that he used it but I asked him in private as he mailed me anyway. Obviously we wouldn't even want the name of the tool on here anyway ;)

As I said Alloc, I have no concern with actual cheating getting banned. I just find it strange, maybe because it seems rare, that anyone would be banned in this game but then looking at all the griefers that go into servers I guess that’s good. I play with mods and tools from this website and I will never cheat. Given all the options in this game I cannot understand why someone would cheat but then I’ve never understood cheaters anyway. Thanks for clarifying.
